Omega wishes to perpetuate a legacy of scholarship in Science and Religion dialogue by fostering collaboration with the scientific, religious, and philosophical community who are willing to address the interdisciplinary implications of their research, especially from an Indian point of view. A special and regular feature of the journal will be the detailed Book Reviews and Review Articles of the current literature in the field of Science, Religion and Philosophy.
Published biannually in June and December every year Omega is pluri-religious in its nature and outlook with the editors and the advisory board representing the major religions of India. The Editor-in-Chief, Dr. K. S. Radhakrishnan is assisted by an editorial board and advisory board. Already in the eighteenth year of publication, Omega has established itself as a peer-reviewed scholarly journal of international repute. With a commendable deal of readership uncharacteristic of a super-special academic publication, Omega now has a large subscription base across 26 countries.
The primary editorial goal of the journal is to publish peer-reviewed articles that promote the substantive dialogue between natural sciences, religious studies and philosophy. The secondary editorial goal is to complement the global science-religion momentum from the Indian philosophical and religious perspective.
Omega – India Journal of Science and Religion is the official organ of the Institute of Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Kerala. OMEGA– Indian Journal of Science and Religion is one of IAIS’s attempts to achieve its goal. First of its kind in India, Omega is a pioneering enterprise at the creative interface between science, religion and philosophy particularly from the Indian perspective.
